O Lord, how long must I endure?
When shall I see Your face?
Will you forget me evermore
And I be crushed by anguish and disgrace?
O Lord, do You consider me?
Illuminate my eyes
Lest he who is my enemy
Be strengthened in resolve to me despise.
In You I hope triumphantly;
My heart will gladly sing
Of all the Lord has done for me –
My Saviour and my everlasting King!
