Psalter manuscript

Are You Sensing Danger (Proverbs 6a)

Are you sensing danger?  Are you hearing lies?
Do you know that stranger?  Look him in the eyes.
Don’t compromise with falsehoods for peace
Don’t hesitate to seek your release from the fowler
And his cruel priests!

Every worthless person, every wicked man
Every hellish demon who seeks to stall God’s plan
Like Satan, for their bloodshed and lust,
Will humbled eat and drink up the dust where forsaken
They’ll be swiftly crushed!

Are you sleeping easy, staying calm and cool?
Could it be that maybe you’re nothing but a fool?
When will you from your slumbers arise?
Get busy like the spider – be wise – lest great trauma
Blackens all your skies!
