CS Lewis

I cut my Christian teeth reading CS Lewis. I occasionally re-visit his writing & immediately see what it was that attracted me to him. He was a thoughtful Christian apologist and a lucid writer. Of course not all that he says is safe & sound but I found myself heartily agreeing with John Piper’s evaluation of CS Lewis’ ministry in this lecture. I commend both CS Lewis’s works generally along with the caveats identified by Piper for just the reasons he gives. Piper went up in my estimation after hearing him on Lewis. Would that he could get equally excited about his other hero (Jonathan Edward)’s excellent treatise on ‘The History of Redemption’. Enough said. Enjoy the Lewis lecture & read say ‘The Abolition of Man’!!
