In You, God on high, my soul seeks security;
Confound, O Lord I pray, the plans of my enemy;
Let those be ashamed who perpetrate treachery;
Remember, gracious Lord, Your mercy to me!
Reveal Your good ways to those whose integrity
Directs their feet in truth to walk in simplicity;
Furnish this my heart with true humility;
Remember, gracious Lord, Your mercy to me!
Instruct me from Your word daily in piety;
Forget, O Lord, my sins of youthful antiquity;
Pardon, Lord, in full all my iniquity;
Remember, gracious Lord, Your mercy to me!
Show to me that man serving God faithfully –
With joyfulness and peace He’ll live in prosperity,
Filling up the earth with his posterity;
Remember, gracious Lord, Your mercy to me!
Have mercy on me Lord in my adversity,
Behold the ones around me practising cruelty;
But I in hope will wait, looking up patiently;
Remember, gracious Lord, Your mercy to me!
