He who truly fears the Lord,
Taking pleasure in His word,
Shall a mighty clan bring forth
Which will reign in all the earth.
Merciful and gracious he
Evermore will righteous be;
Wealth and riches will increase
For the one who works for peace.
When by darkness he is drawn
Light upon his soul will dawn;
Though besieged by renegade
He shall never be afraid.
Generous to the poor is he
Highly honoured he shall be;
Fools who ruin for him scheme
Will all vanish as a dream!
