What can keep a young man clean before You Lord?
Careful contemplation of Your holy word!
With an undivided heart he will not stray
From the Lord’s commandments, doing all they say.
God’s commands are hidden deep within his heart
So that he might never wander or depart.
He is ever learning how each law applies,
Joyfully declaring all Your ways most wise.
More than fleeting riches he esteems Your ways,
Teaching men Your statutes all his pilgrim days.
