The precepts of Your Law are very wonderful to me;
Both truth and connotation they supply in all I see.
Subduing pride I opened wide my heart and now I find
Deep satisfaction for my soul and mercy full and free.
My every thought is captive in obedience each day
Considering what pleases Him in all I do and say;
Iniquity won’t master me if in my heart I hide
The perfect Law of liberty, and often pause to pray.
Redeem me from oppression and conspiracies they’ve planned
That seek to overturn Your rightful rule in every land;
O God of grace lift up Your face that all the world may see
The loving kindness You commend in all that You command.
