God has said
That as His creatures we must live obediently
To all His Law
And nothing more
Attending to each tiny stroke consistently
Don’t you know?

Right and wrong
To every man has been revealed with certainty
Our actions show
Deep down we know
That we are wired for truthfulness accountably
Yes indeed!

Let us God’s commandments learn to comprehend
Show us, Lord, our sin!
May the pride in man give way
To a glorious new day
When as saints, redeemed, we’re subject to the King!

Why have we
Neglected to confront and charge autonomy?
Our noblest creed
Is cursed indeed
If we shrink back from standing for Theonomy
Can’t you see?

Let us God’s commandments learn to comprehend
Teach us, Lord, we pray;
Stubborn pride in man subdue
Till at last we’ve learned to do
What Your faithful servant Moses heard You say!

Meekly learn!
The Word of God must guide your every thought;
Humbly turn!
Constrain your heart ……
Make good your start to yield this moment!

Let us God’s commandments learn to comprehend
Show us, Lord, our sin!
May the pride in man give way
To a glorious new Day
When as saints redeemed we’re subject to the King!
