63	What did these sacrifices represent?	Christ, the Lamb of God, who was to die for sinners.

How in ages marked BC
Could our ancient forbears be
Saints of God with piety
Before Christ came?

By foreseeing with their eye
One this world would crucify
And portraying how he’d die
With blood and shame.

Was the daily sacrifice,
With its grain and scented spice,
More than just the token price
For all their crime?

Yes indeed, the suff’ring lamb
Showed how Christ, the Son of Man,
Would through God’s amazing plan
Redeem mankind.
