Psalter manuscript

Psalm 119 – AYIN: Don’t leave me to my oppressors

Resources

Don’t leave me to oppressors
For truth constrains my way;
This man, for pledge of mercy,
Embraces all You say.
‘Midst pride and cruel oppression
Uphold me, Lord, I pray.

Deal kindly with Your servant,
Reveal Your word to me;
Give me a heart for knowing
That I might truly see.
The time is ripe for judgment –
“Send lawful liberty!”

The worth of Your commandments
Is more than much fine gold;
Concerning all our doing
Their equity must hold.
I’ll mark as an impostor
That man who won’t be told!
