Deal with me graciously and I will serve You, Lord;
Help me to live and keep the precepts of Your word.
Open my eyes so wide that I might see much more
Of all the wondrous things contained within Your Law!
My fellow citizens are alien to me;
When I extol Your Law they say they do not see.
Make every rebel fall with fear before Your word;
Rebuke and curse the proud who hate the truth they’ve heard.
Those who reproach and scorn the justice of Your Law
Remove and silence so they trouble me no more;
All princes who refuse to publish Your decrees
Mark out as traitors to the King and enemies!
