If Moses and Samuel heaven beseeched
Their pleading the Lord would ignore
The cities of Judah have idols conceived
Protected they shall be no more
Let them go! Cast them out!
If they ask, let them know…..
To death for such as are dammed
To the sword for those who are doomed and condemned
To famine for all who are destined to fall
The rest to captivity send!
The sins of our fathers the Lord have provoked
No more will He stall or relent;
God’s holy commandments they’ve spurned or revoked
Without them they cannot repent.
Let them go! Cast them out!
If they ask, let them know…..
Sweet mother, my woe is as deep as the sea,
My pathways are strangers to calm;
Contention and strife they attribute to me
I’m cursed as the cause of all harm;
Let them go! Cast them out!

Great joy and delight in Your precepts I find –
A sumptuous feast for my soul;
My heart is instructed, they nourish my mind
Like heat from a fire when it’s cold.
Let them go they that scoff,
If they ask, let them know…..
I’ve stood for the cause of the Lord all alone
Discerning the good from the vile;
Perpetual sorrow and pain I have known
An prisoner in exile on trial.
