Royalty will look and see,
The splendour of her dignity in you and me
When like a bride we’ve finally been sanctified
And furnished with glory!
Never more forsaken shall she be
Her desert plains will thrive with fruit abundantly
A new name everlastingly she will receive
No longer ‘Forsaken’!
For Mount Zion and the city Jerusalem’s sake
I’ll take my stand,
Till salvation and the dawn of her righteousness break
Across all lands!
The Lord has sworn by His right hand
No more shall those who mock and scorn control the land
The children that to you’ve been born by God’s command
Will feast on its fullness!
As we journey through the city gate
The holy call of Jesus Christ we contemplate
Commanding us the things we do to renovate
Proclaiming His banner!
For Mount Zion and the city Jerusalem’s sake
I’ll take my stand,

To every quarter of the world the Lord
Has spoken to His saints who tremble at His Word
They shall for Him comprise a wonderful reward
‘Redeemed’ and ‘Most Holy’!
High upon the walls of Jerusalem saints
Shall watch and pray
Ceasing never to petition the Lord until praise
Pervades each day!
